Group Counseling

 

Adolescents

Middle School and High school groups will build communication and relationship skills through direct teaching and practice within the group counseling. An intake session must be completed prior to being placed into a group.

Young Adults

Social skills topics include adulting skills, communication, relationships, and others determined through a collaborative process of the group. An intake session must be completed prior to being placed into group counseling. Group is primarily for individuals with high functioning autism.

Adults

A safe place to come alongside others from Westminster, Thornton, Broomfield, and other surrounding areas on a similar journey and practice skills you are learning in your individual sessions. Must have completed an intake session to be placed into group counseling.

Frequently Answered Questions

Do you do ABA therapy?

No. My focus is more using a variety of techniques that I have found helpful with my own children which includes a lot of play, direct education, relational development, and some DBT, CBT, EFT, and more alphabet soup type counseling lingo.

My child has other difficulties not specifically listed on this site. Can he/she still participate in the groups?

The reason for the intake is to identify needs and abilities and the fit for specific groups.

Do you work with parents of children with special needs?

Yes. I am very passionate about helping couples and individuals have strong relationships and lives outside of their parenting role.
